Gratitude

This simple gratitude list is to thank my teachers, mentors, loved ones, and others who have guided me along the way while I learned and navigated my way out of the dark and to where I am today. You help me write, create art, publish books, run my business, learn things, live life every day, and you meet me where I’m at. I am forever grateful.

Mom + Dad. Thank you for always encouraging me and for the unconditional love and support, in every way possible. There’s no one I’d rather learn life from.

Megan. While we no longer have a clubhouse under the stairs, we’re still the world’s smallest and best club. You make me laugh until I can’t see through the tears. Here’s to Oregon coast and Tillamook.

Lyndsey. Thank you for dreaming about my success before I did and believing in me even when I don’t. You are magical.

Lindsey + Alex. You’ve facilitated a dream come true for me, the first of many, and it now has a place to live: my books page. Thank you for your knowledge, support, endless emails, pictures of dogs, and incredible programs. I want to be you when I grow up. Except a more me version.

Sarah. My life has transformed so drastically thanks in large part to you. Thank you for taking away so much of the shame and embarrassment and replacing it with confidence and pride.

Dr. Emina. I would still be in bed crying and eating French fries every day if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for helping get me to a place where I can accomplish goals and dreams and create again. It was all worth it.

My readers, clients, classmates, and colleagues. Whether you read my stories or I write them for you, each one of you shapes my life. Thank you for spending your time with me and appreciating my words and heart.
